Caroline began writing poetry during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown charting her experience of anxiety and depression during this turbulent time.

As well as writing about mental health, as a keen walker and nature lover, much of her writing is inspired from mindful ambles in the Sussex countryside.

Her poem - Here She Comes - about the changing seasons in continuation of Shelley’s Ode to the West Wind, was awarded the Shelley Memorial Project Sussex Cup in 2024, which was presented by Louis de Bernieres and appears in the SMP anthology, If Winter Comes.
